We all know how glamour it is some shoppingnsales website is, racking on attention from women and men shoppers alike, but somehow this site is begining to be the place for "illegal sales" and a hub for them to start earning "extra income" in the time of petrol hike.
Unlike lowyatnet and many other forums, the trading post is very much guarded by the moderators. They do care about the best interest of their forumners and would not encourage any illegal trading to go on unless you understand the risk of doing so. Even if they do let forumners do some selling, it would be under strict rules and risk management. A warning post would be there to warn you about the risk you're about to take and a how-to guide would also explainly briefly how not to get cheated.
For this particular website, I do admire how it is booming, however they fail to take charge of their fans, some with another intention to trade openly and "without guilt" and without any restriction from the site owner or moderators. I do understand this is just a place to get information from, but without care, it will turn into "Black Market" haha.
For example, I notice a lot of shoppers claim they're letting go of their items. Well one must assume letting go is dropping what they bought for reasons like colors don't match, frangrance was not the correct one, impulse buying and what not. However when you "let go" of the products you buy at a "warehouse sale" or special sales that sold u the products for a rate cheaper than retail, you cannot just resell the items for more using excuses like it's service for my petrol, my parking fee, my time. Hello, if u r letting go, u should be happy someone is willing to buy the item you don't want!
Why not just use the word "I'm selling this item" or just go to ebay. I am sure nobody will contest your intentions there. BTW u do know u've no license to resell the products back to the public right? you're not even the agent/middleman or a legal trader. What is this rampant reselling all about? I guess what the authorities don't know is = legal?
What happens when a poor soul gets scammed in your website? do the police report states:
Pada hari XXXX pukul XXXXX, saya pergi ke laman web XXXXXXXX membeli product XXX dari seorang bernama XXXXX. Tetapi apabila saya membayar wang pada orang tu, orang tu menghilangkan diri dan saya hanya ada email dia saja untuk berhubung.
So who is responsible? there's your website that promotes or did not restrict strangers to come in n go to "trade" and there is your readers/fans who buys them from the "traders" as if it is a normal practice in your site and since there site is not warning anyone, it be presume safe to do so?
Well I pity those shoppers who couldn't buy anything at warehouse sales bcoz there are animals prowling there early morning before you start to Q up, and they bought and wipe the table clean of goodies you wanted, to go home and just go to that website to "let go" of their items at a higher price. Yes pay for their petrol, time and bcoz u couldn't get the goodies n now wants to buy it from them. But do remember this..
Illegal whale killing is still rampant because there are demands for whale meat.
Poor baby seals are being killed for their fur, because some people want to look pretty n high class.
Buy from Illegal 3rd party Warehouse Shoppers will result in:
1. the next time u want to go, be sure to expect a lot more people there who came with intention to buy n resell.
2. the next time u stand in a line n wonder why it's so jam pack even if it's 1 hour before opening time, be sure to know that there are a lot more people now with intention to grab the goods earlier before anybody else, with intention to resell.
3. the next time you wonder why there aren't any goodies left, be sure to know that the people with intention to buy n resell was there first before u and they bought it all to resell at a higher price to people who are willing to pay for it.
4. the next time you wonder why warehouse price increase, be sure to know that the people with intention to buy n resell the items has given the warehouse distributors a reason to up their stock price because of demand.
